LHCb facility tour

Next Tuesday, we will discover what’s behind the doors of CERN with a live tour of the Large Hadron Collider beauty facility!

This is an exclusive chance, with only 290 other students invited to attend. Take a look at the most powerful particle accelerator ever built and get your questions answered by the team working at CERN.

Jonathan will take us around the facility, showing us parts that can’t be accessed by the public!

Drop in from 12.30pm. Watch the tour and type your questions as they arise. Get ahead by taking a look at the LHCb’s team page

Did you know? LHCb stands for ‘Large Hadron Collider beauty’, it specialises in investigating the slight differences between matter and antimatter by studying a type of particle called the “beauty quark”, or “b quark”.
