Our knowledge of the natural world is yours to explore in the CERN Zone this summer term. Fortify what you’ve learned in class and extend your grasp over your knowledge by engaging with some of CERN’s top scientists.

🗨️ Live Chats

Take up discussions revolving around atomic accelerators, particle physics and antimatter annihilation by joining a live Chat in the CERN Zone:

  • Chats will be open to all students, with one taking place every month, giving you plenty of time to prepare your questions! Live Chat schedule ❯
  • The next Chat is on the 9th of May, focussing on what happens when experiments don’t go as planned…
  • Chats will last 60 minutes, from 12:30 to 13:30 BST
  • Ask the CERN scientists questions during the Chat, and after it with the Ask page!

  • Get updated. You can follow your favourite team, from their team page, to receive updates on their work

  1. The second Quiz is live! Once you’ve explored the team and scientist profiles’ have a go at the Quiz. You could win £20!
  2. Ask a question to the scientists taking part in the Zone. Start off by having a look at what’s been asked so far ❯
  3. Keep up to date with your favourite teams by following them from their profiles. You will get updates of what they have been working on as well as questions they have answered.
