Welcome back to the CERN Zone

Get ready for live Chats with the CERN scientists, a new Quiz, and more to come this summer term!

💬 Coming up next…

Join us live for the next Open Chat in the CERN Zone, on Tuesday 23 April from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

This time we’ll be talking about Staying Safe at CERN. Come along to meet the scientists working at CERN, and find out why their safety handbook involves more than wearing a hard hat!

Pop in to learn more about studying physics beyond school and get a better understanding of what working at CERN is really like.

👋Get to know the CERN scientists

Make sure you’re ready for the Open Chat on 23 April. Here’s a sneak peek of the scientists you can expect to speak to:

Who’s coming to the Chat

  • Jonathan, a PhD researcher at the University of Manchester, smashes tiny particles together to find answers to many mysteries about why the world around is behaves as it does.

  • Marcus, a PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham, who searches for very rare particle decays that if found, would open up new doors for understanding the building blocks of our universe.

Take a look at their personal and team profiles to see what they’re up to, and get thinking about what you’d like to ask them.

❓New term, new quiz

The final Quiz is now live. Get familiar with the CERN teams and latest updates by exploring the site to find the right answers. You might be crowned this term’s winner!
