Hi there! I’m from Spain and I’m an accelerator physicist, which means I study how to make particles move really, really fast! When I’m not doing science, you’ll find me playing games and trying out sports.

My Work:
I work on the design of the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This is a proposed collider to be built at CERN after the operation of the current accelerator.

Education:
School in Spain.
MPhys in Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology at Lancaster University.
PhD in Accelerator Physics at Lancaster University and the Cockcroft Institute.

Qualifications:
We don’t have A levels in Spain, but of the equivalents, I’d have: History of Spain, History of Philosophy, English, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Technical drawing and Spanish language and literature.

Work History:
I had a short internship (5 weeks) at Lancaster university’s physics department in the summer between my 3rd and 4th year.

What did you want to be after you left school?
Scientist! I've always wanted to know how things work.
Were you ever in trouble at school?
Not really.
If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?
Probably some IT job, maybe teaching.
What's your favourite food?
Pizza

More time for traveling and new experiences. Health. Ovens that don't need to preheat.
