Join the Chat on Tuesday 23 April, and get to know how the scientists at CERN, stay safe.
Between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, come along to meet the scientists working at CERN, and find out why their safety handbook involves more than wearing a hard hat!
🎞️ The ISOLDE facility tour!
Last Tuesday, on Tuesday 27 February the ISOLDE facility at CERN opened their doors to students and schools taking part. Liam, Patrick and Chetna and other members of the ISOLDE team, gave us a private tour their facility to share more about their work. 
Liam gave us an introduction to the facility and an overview of ISOLDE and what the team work on.
Patrick and Chetna (on gimbal) then gave us a tour of the facility, starting with the magnets.

Tuesday 27 February, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
Tomorrow, you can go behind the doors of CERN with a live tour of the ISOLDE facility.
This is an exclusive chance to take a look at the facility of the team who is producing a large variety of radioactivity ion beams.
You’ll get a view of the parts of the facility that can’t be accessed by members of the public!

On Tuesday 27 February, we will discover what’s behind the doors of CERN with a live tour of the ISOLDE facility!

A new accelerator at CERN?
On Tuesday 16 January, 26 students dropped into the live Chat to meet the scientists working on CERN research projects! Thanks to the scientists from LHCb, ISOLDE and Beam Team who came along.

Team update: What have the CMS team been up to?
The CMS team have been searching for exotic long-lived particles. Adding a new algorithm to their system for their latest run has increased the results gained from less data.
